Battle Pickup:

One of the new features of Battlefield 4 has been actively discussed in the Battlelog forums are the "Battle pickup".

This is a set of weapons that are strategically placed around the map and can not be equipped by players during the spawn. These weapons (apparently) are located within a special box where players can open the contents and use. Its use is not limited depending on the class you choose.

So far, two of these weapons have been sighted in the Alpha of Battlefield 4 from the map Siege of Shanghai - a powerful sniper rifle M82 Cal 50 (located on the flag C) and an M32 grenade launcher MGL (located on the flag B ) which was also seen in the campaign. [link]

Battlelog will support dual monitors and laptops in-game

You may have read earlier this week Thomas Deisinger’s article on the Battlefield 4 Battlelog Trailer.

Recently, Battlelog Producer DICE_TheBikingViking, and Battlelog Developer, DarkLord7845, answered questions on a Reddit thread clarifying some of the new features. One of the more interesting subjects discussed was in regard to the use of 2 or more monitors while playing online. They even confirmed that if your laptop is plugged into the same local network, you can use that for your minimap in the same way you can use a tablet or other hand held device.

‘Next Map’ feature confirmed for Battlefield 4

Since the new Battlelog Trailer has been released, community members have been scouring the video for clues of anything else that might be found in it, and someone hit a jackpot yesterday.

Redditor JumboNess posted a screen of the new trailer that would be very easy to miss, but props to him for finding it.

It’s what many Battlefield 3 players have been waiting for, a “Next Map” display on the battlereport at the end of a round.

It would seem that DICE is listening, as many players weren’t happy that this feature wasn’t present in Battlefield 3 , especially since it was in BC2.

So I'll be able to have a minimap on my Android Nexus 7 while playing on PC? Sounds cool, but why do I get the feeling that this stuff won't be there on release of the game, and possibly never.

First video I heard "Revisiting BF3 maps" with new frostbite engine...
Man those maps are only 2 years old, they should put some old BF2 maps in there, not BF3 maps which we have already played to death for the last couple of years. Sell us the same maps twice, sweeeeet.

ffs, They are selling us the same game again ... besides I couldnt care less about watching anything related to a game on my phone or tablet ... we need system specs and engine specs instead of some stupid promo on old maps. The guns are at best the worse choice I ever seen ... battlepickup ??!! loads of players will drop out on BF4 because of the missing big 50 ... " I found this smart ass .50 by accident while running in a ruin ...." rightie then DICE employees should be happy that the "Punch someones nose through a monitor" programs still doesnt exist.

The guns in general ? sucks, who in their right mind would choose a swedish made copy of the G3a3 ? (AK 5C) .
I find the lack of H&K guns disturbing in a wargame, might it be they dont want to be associated with DICE and their bad programming ?
Loads of all these guns listed is for law enforcement, NOT warfare and no soldier in his right mind would chose any of these. We could surely discuss if it all matters since you in BF3 already is capable of doing headshots with a .44 magnum on 250 meters... so picking a 9mm or .38 doesnt really matter if DICE makes the same bullostics as they did in BF3.

We will meet the same shit as in BF3, everyone running around with the same m16a3 because its the only gun worth using, rest of the team will run around looking for the sniper rifle somewhere on map or wait in line for it to respawn. ...

regards

Michael

I don't understand how they're saying BF3 maps revisited on the revolutionized new Frosbite engine, the videos I’ve seen, it all looks identical to the BF3 engine, perhaps they squeezed a little more destruction in there on buildings, but certainly not enough to rerun the BF3 maps again, they are going to be a simple copy and paste for the devs, from BF3 to BF4.

BF2 which was running on the old Refractor Engine, surely should have been the logical choice for a Frostbite facelift? No, because that would have involved work...

So they port Frostbite maps to Frostbite. ie: Ctrl+C Ctrl+V

Do you have to repeatedly tap the melee key to counter attack the knife, hold it down, or press it once?
